Issue/Introduction

Description:

Running a CA Datacom version 14.0 job using DBUTLTY to load a database, I received a RC 94(94) error message:

 	DB13001E - UNEXPECTED RETURN CODE 94 (94)

This job ran successfully before my upgrade and was not changed. What caused this error?

Solution:

A return code 94 indicates a General Error, and there could be multiple causes and reasons for the errors.

The subcode in this case indicates that the CXX is in the wrong format for the function. However, the problem may not be with the CXX or the database definition. In this case, please review the loadlibs in use in the DBUTLTY job. This return code could indicate running DBUTLTY with prior version load libraries instead of the current version libraries, and the prior version software would not recognize the CXX format in use.

If this does not address the problem, please gather the output from the failing job and from the Multi-User Facility (called MUF), and contact CA Technologies support.
