Issue/Introduction

Description:

A methodology is required for each deployment and it is used to name the data set names on the target system.

Solution:

Using a methodology with each deployment helps you ensure that company's naming standards and conventions are followed and that the data sets are transferred to the target system correctly.

You can use a methodology to copy products and data sets to the target system and rename them as you copy. A methodology also enables you to specify a disposition, so you can choose whether to overwrite existing data sets or create new data sets on the target system.

To Create a Methodology

  1. Click the Create button, in the Methodology Selection in the New Deployment wizard. Enter the methodology name.

  2. Enter the data mask name

  3. Select a style of the deployment:
