Issue/Introduction

While trying to edit a table via RC/Update for Db2 for z/OS (RCU) using RC/Edit message RU676I One or more columns
with LOB/XML/BINARY/VARBIN/DECFLOAY/ROWID/Identity/FOR UPDATE were de-selected.

This message is followed by RU678E RC/Edit cannot edit or browse the current table.

Resolution

Check the RC/Edit Profile Variables and set the "Default method for applying updates" to P, for Positional.
Also in the RC/Edit Options screen, set the "Initial Edit Mode" to F, for Form.
