 The following table lists the LiveUpdate error codes and their descriptions.

These error codes are stored in the LiveUpdate log file. This is a basic log that provides a brief overview of the definition content status. The logs are enabled by default and their location is non configurable.

Note: These hex error codes are logged by the internal component (LUX), whereas the LU error codes documented in Appendix E of the Symantec Protection Engine Implementation Guide are logged by Symantec Protection Engine. For debugging purposes, it is sufficient to refer to the hex error codes that give a better granularity to the LU failure, if any.
