Live Update Error Codes
The following table lists the LiveUpdate error codes and their descriptions. These error codes may appear in the LiveUpdate log file for Symantec Protection Engine (SPE), lux.log. This is a basic log that provides a brief overview of the definition content status. The LiveUpdate logs for SPE are enabled by default and their location is non configurable.
These hex error codes are logged by the internal component (LUX), whereas the LU error codes documented in Appendix E of the Symantec Protection Engine Implementation Guide are logged by Symantec Protection Engine. For debugging purposes, it is sufficient to refer to the hex error codes that give a better granularity to the LU failure, if any.
