This FAQ addresses some of the questions most often asked  by app developers about Symantec Sealed and the Symantec Sealed Partner Program:

  • How do I access my Symantec Sealed account?  
    • Visit the URL you set up during registration and enter your Symantec Sealed credentials. 
       
  • How do I access the Symantec Sealed Connect forum?
    • Visit the URL provided to you during registration and enter your SymConnect credentials.
       
  • How do I start a new discussion on the Symantec Sealed SymConnect forum?
  1. On your Connect home page, in the upper left corner, click Create Content > Forum Discussion.
  2. Provide the required information (indicated with a red star).
  3. Indicate whether you are looking for information or sharing information.
  4. Enter a descriptive title for your post.
  5. Enter the details of your post. To help others assist you, include as many details as you can.
  6. Tag the discussion properly: 
    • Managing Mobility Community
    • Symantec App Center

      Note:Topic tags are optional.
       
  7. Confirm that your post is included in the Symantec Sealed Partners Group, and that the Public option is NOT checked.
  8. Use the File Attachments menu to attach any files or screenshots that you want to include with your post.
  9. Click Save
     
  • How do I back-out of the sealing process?
    • You start over with a copy of your original code. You should follow coding best practices and always work from a backup copy of your code. 
       
  • How do I seal a new version of the same app?
    • Use the same workflow you used to seal your app the first time. 
       
  • For iOS apps, what version of Xcode is supported?
    • 5.0 and later.
       
  • What versions of Android are supported
    • Android 2.3, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3
       
  • What Mobile Development Platforms are supported?
    • The Sealed Libraries are applied to iOS apps in Xcode, and for Android apps, a Java command-line action is used  to apply the libraries.
       
  • Do you have any guidelines for submitting Sealed apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play?
