Datacom DATACOM - AD

Issue/Introduction

Issue:

CA-11 Datacom/AD users may see the following message in their CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers (CA-11) 11.0 at startup:

  U11D-0260-3 DATACOM CMD=GSETL RC=03(027) TBL=DSN KEYN=DSNKD KEY=CAL7Y

The RC 03(027) in this case means "invalid key".

Environment:

CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers (CA-11) 11.0 Version 11.0

CA Datacom/AD Version 12.0 or 14.0

z/OS

Cause:

CA-11 Version 11.0 PTF RO40993 creates two new DSN keys. In order to fully implement them, the PTF ++HOLD ACTION provides instructions to update and catalog the CA-11 database after the PTF has been SMP/e applied.

If you apply the PTF but do not run the steps (on each CA-11 MUF), the CA-11 startup will issue the message indicating that Datacom Return Code 03(27) "invalid key" occurred.

Resolution:

Follow the instructions in the SMP/e ++HOLD ACTION for PTF RO40993.

Additional Information:

Although the message indicating the new key is not present is informational, plan to take the steps to address this.
