 How do I rename the Notification Server database?

The following is just one way to rename the Notification Server database and avoid reconfiguring it.

  1. Make a full backup of the current Altiris database.
  2. Restore the full backup as a new database with the desired name.
  3. In the Altiris Console brows to the Configuration tab > Server Settings > Notification Server Settings > Database Settings.
  4. Choose the renamed database to use and click Apply.
