How can I tell if I have an Altiris point fix installed or not on my Symantec Management Platform (SMP) 8.x server?
Answer
Check the Windows registry for a folder named after the specific point fix. If this exists, this indicates that the point fix has been installed (but not necessarily applied successfully). This is located on the SMP server at:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Pointfixes
Note: Only certain types of point fixes will appear in the registry. Other update types and their versions can be found by reviewing products in Symantec Installation Manager.
