 How to replicate the contents of a custom data class up to a top level Symantec Management Platform server

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Resolution

You created a custom data class on your parent Symantec Management Platform server.  This custom data class will replicate down to the lower level servers in your hierarchy during the standard delta hierarchy replication schedule.

To replicate data up create Hierarchy Resource replication rule.

In order to create hierarchy resource replication rule follow these steps.

On your lower level servers, open the Symantec Management Platform console.

• Navigate to Settings  > Notification Server  > Hierarchy and Replication  > Hierarchy  > Hierarchy Management 
• Open Replication tab
• Expand [Resources] and press Add button (blue cross) to add new hierarchy resource rule
• Choose resource type, data class in question and direction.
