Note: When testing with this configuration, please ensure that the original SEP client sub features and settings are restored after the "Core Files" only testing is concluded, as this configuration does not provide any protection.
- Open the "Control Panel" and select "Programs" then "Uninstall a Program".
- Find "Symantec Endpoint Protection", select that then right-click, then select "Change".
- Follow the prompts clicking Next until you see the window with the option to "Modify". Select "Modify" and click Next.
- On the "Custom Setup" page, modify the individual component(s) requested by the Support Technician. Or, if remove all features if you're testing with "Core Files" only.
- Click Next and finish the installation wizard.
- Restart (required) the device and attempt to reproduce the issue.
