Is it best to disable any Altiris Services from running when upgrading SQL from one version to another?

Resolution

Simply put the answer is yes. The Altiris Service should be stopped while upgrading SQL to prevent any errors from being produced in the logs and to also prevent anything new from being written to the Database during the upgrade. Once the upgrade has finished the above mentioned Service can be restarted.
