Issue/Introduction

 Can IT Analytics migrate data from one Notification Server to another?

Resolution

IT Analytics (ITA) does not have any functionality to migrate data from one Symantec Management Server/SQL database to another, such as if upgrading from Notification Server 6 to Symantec Management Platform (SMP) 7.1 or changing SQL Servers. This is because ITA derives its data from Altiris Solution's data each time it processes its report pack's cubes. Instead, perform the SMP upgrade/SQL migration (as the core SMP technical team provides instructions for), then once completed, reprocess ITA cubes to obtain the current updated derived data. Note: If cubes do not initially process, perform a repair install of ITA in the Symantec Installation Manager to resolve the issue.
