Some of the SVSCMD parameters have associated flags. The list of command-line parameters has a column that lists any flags you can use with a command-line parameter.

The following table is a list of the available SVSCMD parameter flags:

-A[DD] <value> | Add a value (command specific). |
-BACKGROUND | Makes a partially activated layer begin to fully activate itself in the background approximately one minute after startup. |
-D[EL] <value> | Delete a value (command specific). |
-E[ND]
| Ends capture.
|
-FILE -ADD <pattern> | File pattern of files to keep in the layer. |
-F[ORCE]
| Forces the command when it might otherwise fail. For example, you can force a layer to overwrite an existing layer during import. You can also force an application that is running from a layer to close.

-K[EY] <serial>
| Specifies the product serial number.
|
-LAYERCHANGED | Used to indicate that a partially activated layer has been changed or altered. This flag allows partial activation of that layer to function correctly. |
-L[EVEL] <level>
| Specifies the priority of the layer.
|
-NAME <name>
| Specifies the new name for the layer.
|
-N[O]
| Turns off the option.
|
-N[O]D[ESKTOP]R[EFRESH]
| This flag has been deprecated.
|
-NOUSER | Do not export user-specific information. |
-NOWAIT | Do not wait for executed process to complete. |
-P[ATH] <path>
| Specifies a directory path. If the path contains a space, put it in quotes.

-PID <PID>
| Specifies the PID of the process that needs to be executed as a part of layer.
|
-R[ESET]
| Resets the priority of the layer to the default priority.
|
-RW | Copy the writable sublayer. |
-SET <value> | Set a layer's visibility where <value> can be: 1- Other layers cannot see this layer 2- This layer cannot see other layers 3- Base layer cannot see this layer |
-SID | User SID. An empty string specifies the current user's SID. |
-S[TART]
| Starts the capture.

-T[YPE] <type>
| Specifies the priority type (HKCR).
|
-UNSET <value> | Set a layer's visibility where <value> can be: 1- Other layers cannot see this layer 2- This layer cannot see other layers 3- Base layer cannot see this layer |
-V[ERBOSE]
| Displays verbose command output.
|
-W[AIT]
| Makes SVSCMD wait for the application to close before it continues.

-Y[ES]
| Enables an option.
