This article describes how to display the PGP Tray icon in the Windows System tray.
The PGP Tray icon allows you access to many of PGP Desktop's features. These include Viewing PGP Logs, About PGP Desktop, Unmounting PGP Virtual Disks, performing encryption on the Current Window or Clipboard, and opening PGP Desktop.
When you right or left-click on the PGP Tray icon, a menu is displayed giving you access to the available PGP Desktop options.
If your PGP Tray icon is not displayed in the Windows System Tray, you can enable the option in PGP Desktop to Show PGP icon in the Windows System Tray.
Note: In PGP Universal Server managed environments, a server administrator has the option to disable the PGP Tray icon from appearing in the Windows System Tray.
To enable the PGP Tray icon
Open PGP Desktop.
Click Tools > Options.
On the General tab, place a checkmark next to Show PGP icon in the Windows System Tray
If the PGP Tray icon does not display after enabling the option in PGP Desktop, check your Windows settings for the Windows Taskbar.
