How can the Altiris Agent be scheduled to restart?

ITMS 7.x, 8.x

Resolution

There is a registry key that can be used to cause the Altiris Agent to restart on a defined interval. This is a DWORD key, and you can specify the number of minutes between desired restarts:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Software Delivery\Auto Restart Agent (mins)

Note: Use caution when using this key; you should not configure it to restart any more often than necessary.

 

Use the following registry file in a Software Delivery package or via some other means:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Software Delivery]
"Auto Restart Agent (mins)"=dword:00000000
