How to uninstall and reinstall an IT Analytics report pack cube Notification Server 6.0/6.5

Sometimes an IT Analytics cube must be uninstalled and reinstalled in order for it to work successfully, such as if a cube failed to install 100% correctly. This can be done using the IT Analytics user interface, but also often involves manual deletion from the Microsoft SQL Server as well.
How to uninstall an IT Analytics cube using the IT Analytics user interface
  1. For Notification Server 6 (NS6), in the Altiris Console, click on the Configuration tab (or click on the View > Configuration menu for the Altiris Console 6.5)  > Solution Settings > IT Analytics > Configuration > Cube Setup.
  2. For NS6, click on the Installed Cubes tab.
  3.  Click on the checkbox of the cube to uninstall. For NS6, click on the Apply button.
  4. Click on the OK button of the confirmation window.
  5. Verify no errors occurred during the uninstall process by reviewing the notes from the IT Analytics Event Viewer window.
  6. Click on the Close button of the IT Analytics Event Viewer when the cube has been uninstalled.
Verify that the cube was uninstalled in SQL
  1. Using SQL Server Management Studio to connect to the database that IT Analytics uses, log into the Analysis Services under the Server type drop down list.
  2. Click to open Databases > IT Analytics > Cubes.
  3. If the cube name exists still here, right click on it and click on Delete.
  4. Click on the OK button.
  5. Click to open Databases > IT Analytics > Dimensions.
  6. If the cube name exists still here, right click on it and click on Delete. 
  7. Click on the OK button.
How to reinstall an IT Analytics cube
  1. For Notification Server 6 (NS6), in the Altiris Console, click on the Configuration tab (or click on the View > Configuration menu for the Altiris Console 6.5)  > Solution Settings > IT Analytics > Configuration > Cube Setup.
  2. For NS6, click on the Available Cubes tab.
  3. Click on the checkbox of the cube to install. For NS6, click on the Apply button.
  4. Click on the OK button of the confirmation window.
  5. Verify no errors occurred during the install process by reviewing the notes from the IT Analytics Event Viewer window.
  6. Click on the Close button of the IT Analytics Event Viewer when the cube has been installed.
