How do you completely uninstall the NS Agent for Apple Mac's with Intel Processors?

Answer
In October 2006, Altiris released a version of the NS Agent for Macintosh and Inventory Solution for Macintosh that work on Intel-Mac processors .

The following applies to both Intel-Mac and PowerPC Macintosh computers.

There are two ways to uninstall the Agent on a Macintosh computer:

1. The Macintosh Agent solution includes an uninstall policy which is found in the NS console on the Configuration tab. Drill down to Altiris Agent, Altiris Agent Uninstall, Uninstall Agent for Mac, Agent for Mac Uninstall. A unique collection can be applied to this policy. Then, refresh policies on the Macintosh client and the agent should uninstall itself.

2. From the Macintosh client, open a terminal window and navigate to: /Applications/Utilities/Altiris/NSAgent/.bin.
Then run:
"sudo aex-uninstall" as an admin user.

Post-8.5:

From the Macintosh client, open a terminal window (as an admin user) and navigate to: /Applications/Utilities/Altiris/NSAgent/.bin. 

Then run:
sudo /bin/sh /opt/altiris/notification/nsagent/.uninstall/com.altiris.AltirisAgent.uninstaller.sh
