Symantec Status

Our status sites provide transparency around service availability and performance for Symantec cloud products.

By subscribing through the Symantec Status website, you can be alerted of real-time outages and informed of scheduled maintenance to Symantec's cloud products, in a single view, without authenticating through a portal.

Symantec Knowledge Base

With Symantec's knowledge base subscription service, receive proactive email notifications when new articles are published, or when existing topics are updated with new information.

Subscribe to articles

To subscribe to notifications for specific articles

  1. Go to the Symantec Support home page.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Sign In/Register.
  3. Under the Sign in tab, log in using your existing Symantec account credentials.
    If you do not have a Symantec account, click Create an Account.
  4. After you log in, search or navigate to the article for which you want to receive notifications.
  5. In the article towards the bottom of the page locate "Subscribe To This Article" section, click Subscribe button.
    You will see the confirmation message "You have been successfully subscribed."

Subscribe to article channels

To subscribe to notifications from the Article Subscriptions page

  1. Go to the Symantec Support home page.
    If you are not currently signed in to your Symantec account, you will be temporarily redirected to the Symantec single sign-on page.
  2. Under the Sign in tab, log in using your existing Symantec account credentials.
    If you do not have a Symantec account, click Create an Account.
  3. After you log in, click on Article Subscriptions in the upper right.
  4. Under Email Frequency, select the frequency of how often you would like to receive notifications
  5. Under Article Subscriptions, review any individual articles you are subsribed to
  6. Under Product Subscriptions, select a Product and check the related Content Types(s) to subscribe to.
  • Alerts: Latest alerts and notifications impacting your product.
  • Documentation: Product Documentation eg User Guides, Administration Guides etc.
  • General Information: General information on your Symantec Products and services offered.
  • Product Information: Product information about your product and how this will impact your environment.
  • Security Advisory: Symantec Products impacted by CVE issues that are published globally.
  • Solutions: Technical Solutions to your problems and how to resolve these effectively.

Manage subscriptions

To manage your existing article and channel subscriptions

  1. Go to the Symantec Support home page.
    If you are not currently signed in to your Symantec account, you will be temporarily redirected to the Symantec single sign-on page.
  2. Under the Sign in tab, log in using your existing Symantec account credentials.
    If you do not have a Symantec account, click Create an Account.
  3. After you log in, configure article subscriptions as follows:
  • Email Frequency - You can choose the frequency at which you want to receive email notifications.
    • Don't send emails
    • Immediate
    • Once per day
    • Every other day
    • Once per week
  • Article Subscriptions - You can unsubscribe from existing article subscriptions.
  • Product and Channel Subscriptions - You can unsubscribe from existing channel subscriptions.  Towards the bottom you will see the Products and Channels you are subsribed to and you can remove by clicking on the close x button for each channel.
