While instructions on how to install ServiceDesk's Workflow Designer onto a client computer are discussed in the ServiceDesk Implementation Guide, the following instructions include additional steps to ensure that this works successfully.
- Follow the ServiceDesk Implementation Guide's instructions on page 54, on installing Workflow Designer and Server. Note: Only Workflow Designer and Server need be installed as components during the installation.

- Copy the SD.Licensing.dll file from the ServiceDesk server, located in the <ServiceDesk_installation_drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\Workflow Designer\Server Extensions\Plugins folder, to the Workflow Designer client's folder of <Workflow_installation_drive>:\Program Files\Altiris\Workflow Designer\Server Extensions\Plugins.
- If the Task Tray Application is running, right click on it and select Settings. If not, run this by going to Start > All Programs > Altiris > Workflow Designer > Tools > Task Tray Tool.
- In the Server section, click on the Edit button.
- In the Server Extensions area, click to enable LogicBase_ProcessManager.
- Click on the OK button.
- Click on the OK button.
- In Windows, click on Start > Run.
- Type iisreset and click on the OK button.
Troubleshooting
If after completing the above instructions you receive license errors after opening a ServiceDesk Workflow project, ensure that when opening projects a new service ID is not specified. If one has been, change the service ID to the correct ServiceDesk service ID by doing the following:
- In a ServiceDesk Workflow project that is open in Workflow Designer, go to the project's Resources tab by clicking on the project name in the Project window.
- Go to the Resources tab if it is not already open.
- Click on the Service ID's Edit button.
- Change the service ID to INCIDENT.
- Click on the OK button.
- If the Task Tray Application is running, right click on it and select Restart Server Extensions. If not, run this by going to Start > All Programs > Altiris > Workflow Designer > Tools > Task Tray Tool.
- In Windows, click on Start > Run.
- Type iisreset and click on the OK button.
