Collectors that use a database sensor require that you complete the following additional tasks in the order presented:
You must download and install database drivers for database collectors in the following circumstances:
For remote collector installations
You must download and install a database driver to the collector computer for all remote installations of database collectors.
For all Information Manager 4.6 on-appliance database collector installations that do not use a database that is compatible with a preinstalled database driver.
Database drivers are preinstalled on the Information Manager 4.6 appliance for the following databases:

Configure MS SQL Server options, if applicable.
For collectors that read from an MS SQL Server database, the following procedures apply:
You must set the SQL Server security mode to mixed authentication.

You can set the SQL Server instance to listen on a non-dynamic port.
See Configuring the SQL Server instance to listen on a non-dynamic port.
You can configure an SSL connection for the MS SQL Server 2005 JDBC driver 1.2.

Import sensor settings, if applicable.
For database sensor collectors that support more than one type of database, an alternate sensor configuration is provided. You can import these alternate sensor settings. The alternate sensor configuration is located in the utils directory of the collector installation package.
