Issue/Introduction

Datacom batch utility DDTRSLM fails with RC 16 and SQL RC:-117.

STEP4 of the Common Services 14.1 job CAW0JCL(AW1ID001) used to create the Datacom Multi-user (MUF) for ENF executes DDTRSLM and fails with RC 16 and errors:

DDTRS0016E DBQINSP FAILED SQL COMMAND QINSP, RC: -117.                  
        SQL ERROR MESSAGE:                                             
                                                                       
DDTRS0020I DDTRSLM IS TRYING TO ROLL-BACK THE DATABASE DUE TO ERROR(S): 
DDTRS0016E DBQDELP FAILED SQL COMMAND QDELP, RC: -117.                  
        SQL ERROR MESSAGE:

Resolution

This error indicates that the Datacom SQL option has not been activated for this MUF via the following startup options:

SQLDEFAULT 016,CASQLDEFAULT       SQL DBID,ENT-NAME(SQL ONLY)           
SQLOPTION  YES,017,DATACOM,120,NO  SQL,TTM DBID,MODE,TIMEOUT,VIEW SECRTY

These are part of the defaults in CUSMAC(AXDATIN2) which should not be altered.
The following information messages will be seen in the MUF log when SQL has been activated on startup:
