Configuring the email notification settings

You must configure the email notification settings to send and receive notifications in Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS).

CCS can be configured to send notifications for the following events:

  • Completion of the Asset import jobs.

  • Completion of the data collection and data evaluation jobs.

  • Expiration of an exception.

  • Change in the status of a policy.

  • Response to policy clarification requests.

To configure the email notification settings

  1. Go to Settings > General.

  2. In the General view, on the left panel, click System Configuration > Email Notifications.

  3. On the right panel, provide the following information:

    Notification Server

    Type the name of the computer that hosts the SMTP server.

    The name is specified in any format: computer name, IP address, or host name.

    Notification Port

    Type the port number of the computer that hosts the SMTP server.
