Symantec IT Management Suite versions 8.0 HF6 and 8.1 RU6

Initial testing performed by Symantec shows that a range of the Symantec IT Management Suite functionalities can be used to manage client computers that use Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) operating system.

The scope of support is limited to specific components and solutions as indicated below as well as versions 8.0 HF6 and 8.1 RU6 of the Symantec IT Management Suite. Additional limitations may apply. If so, they are listed under the Known limitations section.

Symantec will issue a Full Support statement once the full testing of the new operating system is performed and all the known limitations are addressed.

List of supported solutions

Symantec IT Management Suite provides support for client functionality for the following operating systems:

  • Windows 10 April 2018 Update  x86
  • Windows 10 April 2018 Update  x64

The Early Support functionality is limited to the following components and solutions of the Symantec IT Management Suite:

  • Symantec Management Agent
  • Cloud-enabled Management
  • Inventory Solution
  • Deployment Solution (Note. Windows ADK for Windows 10, version 1803 is not supported.)‚Äč
  • Patch Management Solution
  • Real-Time System Management
  • Software Management Solution

The following site-server functionalities are supported on Windows 10 April 2018 Update:

  • Task Server
  • Package Server

Note:

The components and solutions that are not explicitly listed above are not supported. The usage of those might lead to undesirable outcomes.
