Issue/Introduction

This Article explains the required steps in order to add additional domains for your Phishing Readiness platform.

Resolution

Symantec can activate any domains that your company owns on your Phishing Readiness Platform. In order to complete this task, We recommend to :

1 - Fill out the attached Domain Activation form

2 - Open a new  Global Customer Assistance case in Broadcom Support portal. The Product selected must be Product Entitlements/Contracts related and Component is Symantec Licensing

3 - For liability reasons, We will verify ownership of domains through public WHOIS domain registration information. If this information is not public facing, Symantec will ask for another form of validation, such as ownership documents, or through one of the following methods:

Option 1:
Add a DNS TXT record for each domain with the following value:
218c5173-5d5f-4ff9-9e7c-6ee4ef3288a2
 
Option 2:
Add a static text file called ‘symantec.txt’ on the websites of each domain, with the following value contained within:
218c5173-5d5f-4ff9-9e7c-6ee4ef3288a2
