 How to check the ODBC connection for Ghost Solution Suite 3.X

Resolution

The ODBC connection that allows Ghost Solution Suite to connect to the SQL server is available by running the 32 bit ODBC administrator.

1. Start odbcad32.exe
   For 64 bit OS go here:   C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
   For 32 bit OS click Start- Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Data Sources (ODBC)
2. Click on the System DSN tab.
3. Click on Altiris eXpress Database
4. Click Configure
5. Verify the values in each step of the Wizard
6. At the end of the Wizard click Test Data Source.

If the ODBC connection does not work properly, Ghost Solution Suite will not work. This is usually a credentials problem.
