How To Import and Export Monitor Policies for ITMS Monitor Solution

Resolution

In an upgrade or other scenarios it may be useful to import previously built  custom Monitor Solution policies. To import or export a monitor policy take the following steps:

 

Export:

1. Select Home > Monitoring and Alerting.
2. Expand Monitor > Policies > Monitor Policies.
3. Select the desired monitor policy or monitor policy folder.
4. Right click and select Export Monitor Policy Item or Export Monitor Policy Folder.
5. Select the location to save the xml file and click Save.

Import:

1. Select Home > Monitoring and Alerting.
2. Expand Monitor > Policies.
3. Select Import Monitor Pack.
4. Click the Add button.
5. Browse to the location of the xml monitor policy and click OK.
6. Select the policy to import from the monitor pack list.
7. Click the Schedule button.
8. Select Run now  and click OK.
9. Refresh your browser and the imported policy will show up underneath Monitor > Policies > Monitor Policies.
