The Managed Services portal hosts two services:
You can login to MSS portal using the Symantec Validation and ID Protection Service (VIP) token supplied in the Welcome kit, or the token can be downloaded from: https://idprotect.vip.symantec.com/
DeepSight Intelligence portal does not require a VIP token to login.
Logins are based on the email ID that you registered. For example, if you subscribe to both services using the same email ID, you are required to use a VIP token. If you subscribe to both using different email IDs, then only the ID associated with MSS would require a VIP token.
To set up your login, follow the steps given below:
(Note: This is applicable for users who haven’t received the Welcome email from Symantec MSS.)
Go to the MSS portal using the following link: https://mss.symantec.com/
A temporary password will be sent to your email ID, enter the same in the Login page.
You can select your preferred language.
Click the Remember Me check box for your login credentials to be populated automatically the next time you login.
On the Create a New Password page, in the Password and Confirm Password fields, type a new password.
For users who received the welcome email from Symantec MSS, please follow the steps given below.
If you do not have a VIP token, you can download it from the following link: https://idprotect.vip.symantec.com/
In the Security Code 1 field, enter the 6 digit security code displayed on the VIP token.
Wait for the security code on the VIP token to change (it takes 30 seconds). Then, in the Security Code 2 field, enter the newly generated security code.
Type a name (of your choice) for the token.
