Resolution

This article describes the Symantec Protection Engine “Violation ID“ values, which are visible in the scan results of Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.x and 7.5.x.

After scanning, if Symantec Protection Engine detects any violation, it generates violation IDs corresponding to the type of violation that is found.

The following table describes the list of these violation IDs returned by Symantec Protection Engine 7.0.x and 7.5.x:
