Cube pivot table access

pre-requisites include: Microsoft Office Web Components 11 (2003), Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB and if you want both security pop-ups to not be present you can go into Internet options under Misc check enable for Allow data sources across domains. At the very bottom of the internet options list under User Authentication check Automatic logon with current user name and password.

By default Microsoft Analysis service tries to authenticate the logged on user. By adding a user to the Altiris ITA group it should allow access to this service. If authentication still fails you can verify the account is added and synced to the role by going into the ITA settings Cubes pane / Security tab / then choose a role. Add the account under, manually managed security role and run the Sync either on a schedule or by the Run now button. This will overwrite and create all Roles and Role permissions directly on the Analysis Server to match the Symantec Roles.

If you still fail authentication add the account to the top-level of the Analysis service and verify. Screenshots include the Cube security page in the console, Management studio SSAS roles security and Management studio top-level SSAS service security.
