Using the Rule type Registry Key/File Path to Product Version when creating a new Detection Rule for a Managed Software Delivery Policy.

Resolution

This article details how to setup the detection or applicability rule type: Registry Key/File Path to Product Version

This Rule must be setup in the following way in order for it to work properly:

• Set the Registry path to the key containing the install path value.
• Set the Value to the name of the value (not the value itself) that contains the path to the file to be compared to.
• Set the version as appropriate for your rule.

NOTE: The value located in the registry named Install Path needs to contain the path and file to be compared against.
