Issue/Introduction

The attached files are used to create a new stored procedure and two custom reports that facilitate viewing the status of all vendor sub-components selected in the PMImport task.

Environment

Patch Management 8.x

Resolution

Note: Ensure a backup of the Symantec_CMDB database is performed prior to running the steps below.

  1. Download the attached sql and XML files to the Notification Server
  2. Open SQL Management Studio to access the Symantec_CMDB database.
  3. Copy the contents of the attached patchmanagementvendorsql.sql file into a new query and exectue the query to create the new stored procedure needed for the custom reports
  4. In the console, navigate to Reports > All Reports > The desired folder to import the reports to
  5. Right-click the desired folder in the left pane, select; Import, click Choose File and navigate to the one of the saved XML files for the custom reports and select it, and then click OK to save it.
  6. Repeat step 5 for the second report

The Patch Management Enabled Vendor and Subcomponent report will show all vendors/sub-components and their status (enabled or disabled)

The Excluded PMImport Software Releases report will list any sub-components that are not selected (disabled).
