Installation of agent fails producing no logs when using install package.

Resolution

Using an install package that contains an MSIexec.exe (msiexec.exe is contained in the root path of the install package) the installation fails and does not create any install logs.

 

This can happen if the MISexec.exe is from a 64 bit OS and is trying to be used on a 32 bit OS as the agent install will use the msiexec.exe that is contained in the root directory of the agent.exe.

 

To remedy this either use an MSI that is 32 bit on all installs, remove the MSI from the install package (force the agent install to use the MSIexec.exe of the OS), or create a 32 bit install package with a 32 bit MSIexec.exe
