Resolution

When sending the SEP package via Integration Component the SEP agent doesn't install. If the Setup.exe is copied and manually ran an error occurs: Invalid Setup.ini - Setup cannot find the Setup.ini file and cannot continue.

This is caused when the wrong Setup.exe file is used to create the SEPIC package.

Screenshot1 is of the wrong Setup.exe file found in the program files folder on the SEPM server.

Screenshot2 is of the Correct Setup.exe file found after choosing Export package from the SEPM console.

Screenshot3 is of the Altiris agent after the package has been sent. This shows succeeded but doesn't actually install anything.

Screenshot4 is when you manually try to run the wrong Setup.exe file on the client machine.

Proper setup of the package is log into the SEPM console and go to the Admin pane and choose Install Packages. Select the Export a Client install package option. Once complete you should have a Setup.exe package around 500mb-600mb or more. This setup.exe is the correct one to be exported onto the Altiris server and used with creating Migration packages through SEPIC
