Question
How is the GUID generated for Managed Computers for the Notification Server?
What method is used to ensure computers always have unique GUIDs?

Answer
The following items are used when calculating the GUID:

• Name.domain, for example mycomputer.mydomain
• MAC Address
• FQDN, for example mycomputer.mydomain.com
• UniqueID (generated by the Notification Server)

These items are used to create the GUID.  These items will allow the Notification Server to generate a completely unique ID to be used to identify the system within the Notification Server infrastructure.
