 What is the Altiris Deployment Solution System Configuration Service and why is it sometimes disabled?

Resolution

The Altiris Deployment Solution System Configuration Service is used by Deployment Solution for post configuration after deploying a disk image.  The service will be enabled by Deployment Solution when a client is scheduled for a disk capture just before the client shuts down, and will be disabled again after the image is deployed and a post-configuration is performed on the client.
