Question
What is the Altiris Deployment Solution System Configuration Service and why is it sometimes disabled?

Answer
The Altiris Deployment Solution System Configuration Service is used by Deployment Solution 7 for post configuration after deploying a disk image.  The service will be enabled by Deployment Solution when a client is scheduled for a disk capture just before the client shuts down, and will be disabled again after the image is deployed and a post-configuration is performed on the client.
