On October 6th, in an effort to improve our customers’ experience and simplify their licensing efforts, Symantec entitled customers with current maintenance of the following products.
This migration happened automatically on a 1:1 ratio, no products were discontinued and no action is required on your behalf.
Additionally, going forward the following products all now include Symantec Encryption Management Server at no additional cost and you continue to have the option of running in unmanaged modes if you choose.

Status of Standalone Encryption Management Server Licenses
With Encryption Management Server now included with the majority of our products, we do anticipate the majority of our customers will discontinue these standalone licenses at renewal.
Obtaining Encryption Software
All migrated customers should have received a serial number to access FileConnect within their version upgrade email. The serial number will provide you access to both managed and unmanaged versions of your product. If you have not received this notification please contact Customer Care at: http://www.symantec.com/support/assistance_care.jsp.
Obtain Software from FileConnect
Go to FileConnect at https://fileconnect.symantec.com and enter your serial number found in your version upgrade email, then click Submit Serial Number.
The next screen provides you with the link to download the associated software. Following is an example for customers who need to access File Share Encryption.
After you click the link to select the product, the subsequent screens include download instructions and file access to both managed and unmanaged versions of your software.
