Issue/Introduction

 

Resolution

I. Configure VMware vCenter server

 1. Navigate to Assets workspace in CCS Console (>Manage >Assets)

 2. Add Assets (>Asset Tasks >Add Assets)

 3. Select Asset Type: VMware vCenter Server

 4. Provide vCenter Server IP Address

II. Configure the vCenter Server credential

 1. Navigate to Credentials workspace in CCS Console (>Settings >Credentials)

 2. Add Asset Credential

  i. Platform: VMware

  ii. Configure for: VMware vCenter Servers

  iii. Add Credential

 3. Select vCenter Server assets

III. Import VMware ESXi host machines

 1. Navigate to Assets workspace in CCS Console (>Manage >Assets)

 2. Create Asset Import job (>Asset Tasks >Import Assets)

  i. Asset Type: VMware ESXi Machines

  ii. Source: Network

  iii. Scope: (select VMware vCenter Server)

 3. Execute Asset Import job
