TouchDown

Issue/Introduction

Resolution

There are now several ways to purchase a license for TouchDown. That being said we would really appreciate it if you could narrow it down for us.

Did you have to download an application and run it to activate TouchDown?

OR

Did you have to type in a serial number to activate TouchDown?

If you had to download and run an application, it could have been Google Play or it could have been the Amazon Appstore for Android.

If it was through the Amazon Appstore for Android, make sure you have followed the instructions at this site to make sure you have the Amazon App for Android installed: http://www.amazon.com/mobile-apps/b?ie=UTF8&node=2350149011

Then be sure you are logged in via the same Amazon account you used to purchase the Exchange by TouchDown Key application.

If you are positive you purchased via Amazon, but you are unable to find the key  please contact us at Touchdown-support@symantec.com with your order number. It is likely that the licensing program will no longer be available to download and we can help replace it.

If you purchased via the Play Store, here are the instructions on getting it reinstalled:

Be sure to be logged in with the Gmail account you originally purchased with. If you go into Google Play on your device press the menu key>Accounts and verify you have that Gmail account selected.

The following are instructions on how to activate TouchDown when you replace your device, add a new device, or do a factory reset on your old device.

Please note: These instructions only apply if you activate with the same Google account that you used for the original purchase. NitroDesk does not have the capability to move your Market purchases to different Google accounts.

Step 1: Download and reconfigure

You should first go to the Android Market and install "Touchdown 4 Not-So-Smartphones" if you are using an older device running Android 1.6 or earlier, and "Touchdown For Smartphones" if you are using a newer device with Android 2.0 or higher. Once you've downloaded and installed the free trial, the app will read that it is in demo mode. Please read on to learn how to get licensed again.

Step 2: Entering Your License

If you purchased the Exchange by TouchDown Key application from the Google Play Store, please open up the Play Store app on your new device and press "My Downloads" or "MyApps". You may find the Pro Key application in the section for ALL.  Find the Exchange by TouchDown Key in the list. Touch the item and it will begin to download to your device. Make sure the item fully installs, then return to the applications drawer and find Exchange by TouchDown Key. Press it once to open it, and from then on your TouchDown application should read as "valid license" on the home screen. If not, usually just restarting the TouchDown application will restore the license.

Sometimes, the Google Play Store "loses" our key application from the downloads list. If this happens, please log into http://wallet.google.com with the gmail account you used for the original purchase and send us your order number. Once we have that number, we can provide a replacement key for you.

If you ordered from our website, then your serial key is contained within your confirmation email. In this case, just press the key icon and enter your serial number and press Go!

If you lost your confirmation email, then please send us your full name and the email address associated with your account to touchdown-support@symantec.com. We will then resend the license to you. Thanks!
