Issue/Introduction

I would like to setup an automated method of backing up the DB2 database

 

Resolution


This article will explain how to automatically backup the DB2 database.

 

(In SSIM 4.7.x)

  1. Browse to your SSIM webgui of your correlation appliance: https://ssimhostname/
     
  2. Login using the "administrator" account.
     
  3. Browse to Settings > Database > Maintenance Options
     
  4. Set "Backups are:" to "Enabled" and click "Apply".

    The default time for appliance maintenance is 1:00 AM, the DB2 backup will run during this time. DB2 Backups are created under /dbsesa/backup.
     

(In SSIM 4.6.x)

  1. Browse to your SSIM webgui of your correlation appliance: https://ssimhostname/
     
  2. Login using the "administrator" account.
     
  3. Browse to Database Utilities > Options > Automated Backup
     
  4. Set "Backups are:" to "Enabled" and click "Apply".

    The default time for appliance maintenance is 1:00 AM, the DB2 backup will run during this time. DB2 Backups are created under /dbsesa/backup.
