Issue/Introduction

Is there a tool available to bulk move SEP clients from one group to another?

 

Resolution

Provided with SEP 12.1 RU6 and later, is the MoveClient tool. It's available on the installation DVD under \Tools\NoSupport\MoveClient

NOTE: The MoveClients utility is unsupported. Refer to MoveClients.pdf for full documentation.

MoveClients will read in a text data file, connect to the database and can accomplish the following tasks:

- Move clients to a new group based on hostname, username, IP address or Operating System.

- Bulk Switch clients from User Mode to Computer Mode or vice-versa.



Technical Information
