Scan Engine Protection Engine for NAS

Issue/Introduction

You have installed scan engine to a new server in your environment. After installing the license file, the licensing page shows that the antivirus scanning is not licensed, but the antivirus and URL/DDR content portion is licensed. You want to know why that is and how you can activate your Antivirus Scanning portion of the license and use the software on the new server.

Cause

The cause is that Antivirus Scanning portion of the license (the portion that activates the part of the software that uses the definitions) is not included in the license file that is being used. The license that was installed was a content renewal license.

Resolution

A license file that contains this information will need to be installed. Download this from our licensing portal or contact a customer care representative for assistance.
