Issue/Introduction

You have detections on your homepage by an unmanaged detector and after disabling the client as an unmanaged detector, the detections made by this client are still reported.

Symptoms

  • The security status page still lists unmanaged devices in your network after several days, even after disabling all your unmanaged detectors.
  • Making the client an unmanaged detector and attempting to create exclusions no longer works.

Cause

There are a number of potential causes for this issue. Changing the unmanaged detector's hostname, mac address, and various other network information may cause this issue.

Resolution

If disabling the client as an unmanaged detector does not remove the detections, you can delete the client from your manager and any detections made by the client should be deleted.
