Issue/Introduction

After logging in to the SEPM, the Home page, Monitors and Reports tabs request log in credentials for Symantec Reporting.

Symptoms
After logging into the SEPM, the Home page, Monitors and Reports tabs request log in credentials for Symantec Reporting. If you enter the log in credentials, the log in screen comes back immediately.

Cause

Corrupted files during the first installation with ODBC.

Resolution

First check the host name of the server where the manager is installed. If there is any special character in the hostname, at the SEPM login page enter the server IP instead of the server name. Try to login, the Reporting window should not come up.

If the issue is not resolved, Run repair on the Manager from Add/Remove programs. After running the repair, reboot the machine and you should be able to log in to the SEPM normally.
