Outbound mail is rejected with "554 Relay rejected for policy reasons".
Symptoms
Internal mail servers attempting to relay messages to the internet via SMTP though a server with Symantec Mail Security for Domino with Premium AntiSpam enabled are rejected for policy reasons.
The Premium AntiSpam component has been hardened against relaying. All messages received via SMTP will be rejected unless the recipient's address is intended for the domain that appears in the Local internet mail domains field. If the message is not intended for local delivery the sending server's IP address needs to be on the relay allow list.
Add the IP address of each internal server that will be relaying messages via SMTP though the server.
Open the Symantec Mail Security Settings database (sav.nsf).
Select the AntiSpam Tab then the Premium AntiSpam Tab and enter the IP address or addresses in the Relay allow list.
