Issue/Introduction

Does Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) allow customization of notification and alert messages using variables?

Resolution

From within the console of SMSMSE click on the "Help" menu at the top of the window and then click "Search" from the drop-down.
In the "Type in a keyword to find:" field, type "variable" and click search.
In the results, click on "About alert and notification variables." This section will list the various variables that can be used in email notifications.
