How do I restart the agent on a Symantec Security Information Manager (SSIM) appliance?
Resolution
SSIM 4.5
- Connect to the appliance with an SSH client and login as db2admin, or login to the console as root.
- If you connected with an SSH client, switch to the root account with the command: su -
Enter the password when prompted.
- At the command prompt, run the command: service sesagentd stop
- Once the service has stopped run the command: service sesagentd start
SSIM 4.6, 4.7
- Connect to the appliance with an SSH client and login as db2admin, or login to the console as root.
- If you connected with an SSH client, switch to the root account with the command: su -
Enter the password when prompted.
- At the command prompt, run the command: service sesagentd restart
