About CentOS
CentOS is a version of Linux compiled by a third party from the RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) source code published on the RedHat website. Symantec provides best effort support for CentOS. If a symptom occurs on CentOS platform, Technical Support will seek to resolve it as if the issue had occurred on RHEL of a similar version. If no solution is readily available, Technical Support will seek to reproduce on a test machine installed with the comparable version of RHEL. If a reproduction of behavior occurs, Technical Support can advance the case based on the in house reproduction on RHEL. To keep support turnaround times short, Symantec suggests that you reproduce on RHEL before contacting Technical Support.
