Issue/Introduction

The SMSMSE Administration console shows that the Virus Definitions and/or the Symantec Premium AntiSpam license is expired.  However the virus definitions date is current.

Perform the following steps to view the license status and definitions date:

1. Open the SMSMSE Administration console.
2. Click on the Admin tab.
3. Click on Views > LiveUpdate/Rapid Release Status item.
4. The Licensing Information section shows the license status.
5. The Virus definitions date shows the current date of the virus definitions.

 

Cause

Your license has expired and SMSMSE is in the grace period.
