Mail Security for Domino

Issue/Introduction

When the "Purge Agent" is enabled on either the Quarantine or Log databases of Symantec Mail Security for Domino (SMSDOM), an error appears on the Domino server console.

The following errors are displayed in the Domino server console:

02/18/2011 12:39:47   Agent Manager: Error in Agent 'RemoveOldDocs' in database 'sav/savquar.nsf' signed by 'notes admin/Backline' calling script library 'NAVQuarLib'. Script library signature is corrupted. 02/18/2011 12:39:47   AMgr: Agent ('RemoveOldDocs' in 'sav/savquar.nsf') error message: Error loading USE or USELSX module: NAVQuarLib

Cause

The issue occurs in cases where the signer of the script library does not have the correct rights to execute on the Domino server, and/or the script library has not been signed.

Resolution

In order to resolve this problem, please sign the SMSDOM Quarantine database using Lotus Domino Administrator by following the steps below:

  1. Select Files > Open Server, and specify Local or a desired server.
  2. Switch to the Files tab.
  3. Select the database from the list.
  4. In the right-hand pane, select Tools > Database > Sign.
  5. For the dialog "What do you want to sign?" property, select the choice "All Documents of Type", and then the choice "Agents".
