Issue/Introduction

You need to exclude a Domino database(s) or files from scans by Symantec Mail Security for Domino.

Resolution

To exclude a database or file
  1. Open the Symantec Mail Security Settings Database (sav.nsf).
  2. In the Settings view, double-click a server group.
  3. In the Group document, click Configuration tab,
  4. Click Inclusions/Exclusions tab.
  5. Under Databases, check Exclude specified database and directories from scans.
  6. Under Database and directories to exclude from scans, type the database or file to exclude from scans.
    Separate multiple entries with semicolons (;). Do not use wildcard characters.
  7. On the action bar, click Save.





Technical Information
Exclusion of databases or paths within the domino environment can leave the clients and server less protected. Please use caution when excluding databases and files.
